UNLEASHING THE ENTREPRENEUR AND INNOVATOR IN EVERY KID!
To inspire children to dream, to create their own opportunities, and to empower them to succeed through entrepreneurship on their own terms and from their own perspective.
Next Gen Minipreneurs offers project-based entrepreneurship and business development enrichment programs to elementary and middle school children. We offer our programs before and after school, on weekends and during vacations from school. We hand-craft our programs and activities to make entrepreneurship understandable and reachable to young children, to make business creation possible, and to promote their:
self-awareness and self-esteem;
leadership capabilities; and
We base our commercial and social entrepreneurship programs on the 5I’s – Inspiration, Ideation, Interaction, Innovation and Initiative – or, as we call them, the Entrepreneurial Engine. The Entrepreneurial Engine are life and career skills which will form the basis of future success in the 21st century, and which set our program apart from all other programs being offered.
In very large measure, our programs are successful, because of the children. They have the natural ability to innovate. They are also audacious. That’s why, with a little guidance from our instructors, by the end of our programs, the children have developed a business and marketing plan using financial concepts such as profit, operating costs, startup costs, per unit price and per unit cost, for businesses conceived through their own initiatives using the Entrepreneurial Engine.
Additionally, the children will have created a pitch to attract capital to start their businesses. On the last day of each program, they give their pitch to an audience eager to hear their ideas and plans and, hopefully, to invest. At that moment, as they stand before the audience, they have ceased to be our future entrepreneurs, but, rather, they have become our newest entrepreneurs. The transformation is magical.
